Gettin’ to the Getty is a video series that uses the difficulty of getting to the Getty via public transportation as a metaphor for the inaccessibility of the art world. Our video project documents the odyssey of our protagonists, Molly and Salomeh, traversing the urban sprawl via bus, train and foot as they work their way across Los Angeles with an unrelenting and determined spirit. Their journey proves exhausting, impractical, and absurd, as they hurdle various obstacles along the way.
